Dr. Sherwood has an additional certification from the IAAP as a child and adolescent analyst. She trained in San Francisco and is now a member of the C. G. Jung Institute of Chicago. She was the Editor of Jung Journal: Culture & Psyche for 10 years and is currently on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Analytical Psychology. Dr. Sherwood has co-authored (with the late Joseph L. Henderson) a book on alchemy and analysis and has written journal articles and book chapters on a variety of subjects, including the role of analysis in analytic training, the Native American vision quest, the art of Wassily Kandinsky, the myth of Athena and Arachne, and the neurobiology of affect.
